A Good Conversation & A Cup of Tea

    With Susie Cook

In his new book, The Lost Art of Good Conversation, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche highlights the importance of a good conversation in these challenging times—exploring how we can awaken to our lives through the simple act of conversing with others. Through mindfully engaging in the relationships in our lives, we find that the underlying message here is that the people in our world are in dire need of kindness and compassion. Simply by shifting the focus of our life away from our own agenda, we can connect with others and the greater world. Come join us this evening for a good conversation and a cup of tea.

We begin our Open House evenings at 7:00 pm with meditation instruction and a short period of sitting meditation practice. Then, we enjoy a good conversation together over a cup of tea. There's plenty of time for visitors to ask any questions they may have about our Center and Shambhala, a global community of people inspired by the principle that every human being has a fundamental nature of basic goodness. This is a great way to find out what opportunities there are for practice, study, and community.

    Everyone is welcome!
